I’ve been blessed with a lot of friends who carry quite a range of talents at all ends of the spectrum. All these talents deserve recognition, but I’ll only be squeezing a few of them into this post.
Coalition
First off, my good friend Cole Worsfold.
Cole is a DJ who goes by the alias of Coalition, and he’s currently based out of Jasper, Alberta. If you’ve been to one of the parties these Jasper boys throw then you know what it’s all about. If not, don’t worry, you’re about to.
This mix by Coalition will satisfy your need for a daily dose of bass. It incorporates a number of musical styles, namely Glitch Hop and Dubstep. Open your ears and open your mind.

Mr. Wiggles
Next up we have Mr. Wiggles, another Jasper DJ also known as Jordan Anderson. If you’ve ever watched Jordan in the mix you’ll understand his name, he stays as lively as the crowd he provides for.
This mix by Mr. Wiggles will be sure to get you moving in your seat, and as my next feature would say; ‘download, listen, love’.

Diatonic Sound
Mr. Wiggles and Coalition have an ear for great music, but they’re not alone! They, along with two other great dj’s, are part of an entertainment group of Jasper DJ’s called Diatonic Sound. Keep up to date with what they’re doing by joining their Facebook page.
Shadow Shogun
Last but not least, we have Shadow Shogun. Shadow Shogun is a blog designed you to bring the best in the underground with a range from Hip Hop, Soul and Funk all the way to Drum and Bass and Dubstep. In their own words, they are “Letting people know about necessary music to download or look out for, nice vinyl, and other things from a present perspective.”
This music blog is maintained by brothers Acumen and Metawon. Metawon is a well respected, and very talented Hip Hop producer based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. Plus, he has a great new album out – check out his Facebook Page for more info.
Lately, Shadow Shogun has been enlisting the help of its diverse network of musical talent to do a series of mixes exclusive to the Shadow Shogun Blog. The Way of the Shadow mix series has been a great success so far, with the newest addition being an unreal mix of Disco/Breaks and Funk by the one and only DJ Big Delicious.
